It's Been Awhile

Hey Hey!

It's been a while since I posted, and I wanted to let you know why.

The first half of this year has been crazy, with other things claiming my attention. I had to step back from the blog to work on a different project I felt God was calling me to do. It took a lot more time and effort than I ever thought it would.

I am going to share more about that project in the next blog entry. I am so excited to share it with you. If you are reading this, you may already know, but I'm sharing it anyway.

This summer, I am taking a break from that project and am reclaiming my little writer's corner. I never truly stopped; I just haven't posted the things I've written.

I honestly almost gave up writing on this blog. The other project's timeline made it seem I couldn't do both. However, I got some advice from another writer, in her writing course, thanks to Hannah Brencher, that really reminded me to keep going.

Once I decided to keep going, I realized something that has bothered me ever since I started this blog: the name. I loved the meaning behind Three 4 Tea, but I didn't really feel that it fully captures what my writing is about. So I prayed about the name and immediately had an answer, hence the name change to Live the Day His Way.

This change more so reflects how I want to live my life. "Live the day His way" is something I say to my kids every morning before they get out of the car to go to school. It is the last part of our prayer, help us to live the day His way. Ultimately, this is something I want to do every single day. I want to live the day God has given me the way He wants me to live it.

Often my plans for the day don't align with His. I've learned that His plans are always better. When I keep trying to force my will for the day, it just ends up turning into

an awful mess.

Through this blog, I share what God is doing and sharing with me in order to try to be more like Him and less like me. I hope you enjoy hearing what God is sharing with me and that it encourages you in some way.

Stay tuned next time for what I have been working on.
